Everest Forum in 2020 Session 223:Global rigidity results for ultra-differentiable quasi-periodic cocycles

Abstract:

In this talk, we show that for a large class of ultra-differentiable potential, and for any irrational frequency, for almost every energy, the corresponding quasiperiodic Schrodinger cocycle is either rotations reducible or has positive Lyapunov exponents. This partially answers R. Krikorian's open question.

Introduction to the Speaker:

Zhou Qi, Professor of Chern Institute of Mathematics, Nankai University, has been awarded as a Distinguished Young Scholars in Tianjin. His research field is dynamical system and mathematical physics, and the main research interest is the spectral theory of the Schrödinger operator with a quasi-periodic potential. He has published many papers inDuke Math,Adv Math,Math Ann,CMPand other international journals, and has kept close cooperation with famous mathematicians such as Artur Avila and R. Krikirian.
